After months of planning, waiting and organizing, I can happily (and finally) greet you as Mrs Bresler! We are back from honeymoon and happily settling into our new reality – and reality is wonderful. After spending an amazing 10 days away, we arrived home to unwrap our mountain of gifts, and rearrange our home (for 2 people!). I’m learning how to come home from work, to a husband, and the joys of falling asleep together and waking up together every day.
Being married is definitely living up to every expectation and all the hype that could have been set by planning a wedding – it’s a glorious reality that’s sometimes easy to overlook when you’re focusing on choosing your flowers or which canapés to serve.
I wish I could tell you how you’ll feel on your special day – how nothing will really matter once you start walking down the aisle, and all you’ll be focusing on is the man waiting for you at the bottom. How you won’t notice the flowers, whether your bridesmaids are walking in time or where they’re standing, and how many groomsmen there are.
I wish I could tell you how much you don’t need to stress about this day – how, at the end of it, everything will be perfect – you’ll be married to your love, and there’s surely no better end to the day than that.
But, you’ll need to discover these things for yourself – but I’ll hopefully be there to help you along the way. So, lovely, lovely brides – there is a whole world of wonder that lies waiting for you after your walk down the aisle. Don’t forget about it in a world of flowers and canapés.
